Hot water freezes faster than cold - and now we know why. | IFLScience



Hot water seems to freeze faster than cold water - known as the Mpemba effect. While various theories have been proposed as to why this effect occurs, a team of physicists now seem to be the closest to the answer: it's all to do with the covalent bonding.
