While President Trump moves forward with the Dakota Access Pipeline, another pipeline co-owned by the same company spilled 600,000 gallons of oil in Texas last week. That’s the second time this pipeline has spilled in the first year since it opened. This cannot go on. We cannot continue to build more and more pipelines. Not only do they cause environmental disasters again and again but they prevent us from reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and moving toward renewable energy. Mr. Trump needs to wake up to the reality of climate change.
