An Oxford math study has shown how large-scale conspiracies would not hold up for long. Due to whistleblowers and other factors, for a conspiracy to stay alive for more than five years it could have a maximum of 2600 people involved. Unfortunately, many people continue believing conspiracy theories for very ideological and irrational reasons.
